• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

• Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification (Required)
• Experience: Prior ICU experience, Epic EHR experience preferred, PA catheters & balloon pump experience a plus

What You’ll Do:

• Provide advanced care for high-acuity ICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve repair, and aortic dissection cases
• Monitor and manage patients with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and ECMO
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to emergency situations and support "Emergency Team" responses when needed
• Document patient care accurately in Epic electronic health records
• Assist in transplant recovery for liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas patients
• Support continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) when required

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience, with ICU-specific skills
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
• Experience with Epic EHR platform preferred
• Comfortable with high-acuity environments and emergency responses

About the Assignment:
This ICU unit specializes in high-acuity post-surgical and transplant patient care, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. The role involves float requirements across various ICUs and SDUs, with a focus on critical care procedures including PA cath management and post-op recovery. This is an intensive, fast-paced environment requiring experienced nurses ready to deliver exceptional care.
