About the Role
Are you a car enthusiast looking to turn your passion into a career? Or maybe you just want to learn a valuable skill while earning a paycheck? Jiffy Lube is looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Vernon Hills and St. Charles.
This is an entry-level position perfect for high school students (16+) or recent grads. You don't need to know how to change oil yet—we’ll teach you everything you need to know through our world-class, accredited training program.
What You’ll Do
As an Automotive Technician, you are the heart of our service center. Your day-to-day will include:
The Signature Service: Performing our famous Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Changes.
Vehicle Inspections: Checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and wipers to keep our neighbors safe on the road.
Preventative Care: Learning to service transmissions, cooling systems, and air filters.
Teamwork: Working in a fast-paced "pit crew" environment to get customers back on the road quickly.
Customer Interaction: Explaining what you’ve done to the vehicle in a friendly, professional way.

What We’re Looking For
A positive attitude and a "ready to learn" mindset.
Reliability (showing up on time is 90% of the job!).
Ability to work on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs.
A valid driver’s license is a plus (required for moving vehicles into the bays).
Strong communication skills—you’ll be talking to teammates and customers.
