Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong general OR experience, including ENT, ortho, and neuro. Experience working in a large hospital required. Experience working in a busy facility with more than 15 OR suites required. Experience with robotics required. Experience in at least one of these systems is required: Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, or Stryker total replacements.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society or Marshfield Clinic Health System location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Must disclose any previous Sanford Health employment; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.

Unit Details: Performs surgical and operating room duties to assist the surgeon and care team. Cases include orthopedics, ENT, plastics, general surgery, and some trauma; primary procedures include orthopedics, plastic surgery, and pediatric and adult ENT. Uses Epic. Uses Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Stryker total replacement systems.

Shift & Scheduling: Call 1 day a week and every 4 to 6 weekends. Assigned call rotation. May need to cover cases outside of general surgery when on call or on off shifts.

Floating Requirements: Potential to float to other Fargo campuses, Broadway and SU.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
