Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This position requires individuals who are experienced and proficient in a variety of interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in various interventional procedures including cerebral angiography and interventions, stroke intervention, angiography of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemoembolization, and cryoablation.
- Perform venography, biopsies utilizing fluoro, CT, or ultrasound techniques, and venous access procedures such as port placements, dialysis, and central lines.
- Conduct gastrostomy and drainage procedures, including biliary, nephrostomy, and abscess drains.
- Work collaboratively within a team of interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, and physician assistants/nurse practitioners to ensure high-quality patient care.
This position requires a 4x10 day shift, with start times at 7:00 AM and end times at 5:30 PM. Call is required 5-7 days per month, and travelers may be called off once per two-week period.
Requirements- A minimum of 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology is required.
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT R, and a valid WA license are mandatory.
- C-Arm experience and familiarity with biopsies are preferred.
- Proficiency in angio and nephogram procedures, along with venous access expertise, is required.
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they meet the experience requirement.
The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 staffed beds. The technologist will work primarily in the operating room, which includes multiple single-plane IR rooms, a biplane room, and a hybrid room. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting, and parking will be provided at no cost.
