Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an Inpatient Rehab/Acute setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Department: Phys Med Therapy Physical unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Weekend requirement, shift runs Friday through Tuesday
- Floating required to Inpatient Rehab/Acute areas
- Uniform top issued for dress code
- 13-week assignment, full-time
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapist licensure required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university required
- Experience with modalities/equipment used by Physical Therapists as outlined by relevant examining board
Additional Information
- Provides Physical Therapy services including assessment, treatment plan development, implementation, and discharge planning for inpatients and outpatients
- Assists with clinical aspects of the department including program development, operations, and Performance Improvement activities
- May assist with supervising and coordinating Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs
- Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers
- Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and interdepartmental meetings
- Counsels patients and families regarding evaluation, care, and treatment
- Must complete pre-employment/post job offer health screening and annual screening thereafter
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Returning employees must be separated from the health system for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
