Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment featuring coronary and peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures.
Details
- Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
- Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab setting
- Daily caseload of 8-12 cases
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and interventional studies, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and permanent pacemaker insertions
- Uses Epic charting system
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement
- On-call requirement
- No floating requirement at primary facility, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Fluoroscopy Permit required (pending permits considered if already applied for at time of submission)
- RCIS not accepted unless candidate has 5+ years of experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker insertion
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and sterile field maintenance preferred
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, including permanent pacemaker insertions
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
- 30 hours of orientation required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted, typically at a lower bill rate
- 50-mile local radius rule applies
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- RTO requests must be submitted and approved at time of consideration
- Facility asks candidates to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Facility offers relocation support, including housing assistance if needed
- Free parking provided, with assignment parking details given during orientation
- Located in Eureka, California, near multiple state and national parks and coastal areas
