Position DetailsThis position involves working in the Cardiac Cath Lab, specifically focusing on Electrophysiology, TAVR, and Left Atrial Appendage Closure. The schedule includes Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, along with one to two weeknights on call and every fourth weekend.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure the integrity and expiration dates of all sterile supplies.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures while utilizing sterile techniques.
- After procedures, prepare equipment and supplies for sterilization.
- Monitor and record all procedural data, maintaining event logs.
- Ensure patient comfort by familiarizing them with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure.
- Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites, including sterile draping.
- Utilize sterile and aseptic techniques when scrubbing into procedures to prevent infections.
- Advocate for radiation safety and protection for oneself and colleagues.
- Document fluoroscopy times and radiation doses, evaluating reports to ensure they are within established safety limits.
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program (Education verification required).
- AART registered.
- Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
- Cardiovascular Technologist registered.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, requiring holiday coverage and participation in weekend rotations.
Experience RequirementsMinimum of less than 1 year of experience.
