Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is strongly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development a plus
• Ability to follow teacher and administration instructions closely
• Skilled in building rapport and communicating effectively with students, staff, and families
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in busy or challenging situations
• Must meet any state-mandated requirements for paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to teachers and students, including one-on-one and small group assistance
• Help implement lesson plans and modify materials as needed for student understanding
• Encourage student participation and positive behavior within the classroom
• Support students with special needs as directed by supervising staff
• Assist with classroom activities, organization, and supervision during instructional and non-instructional times (lunch, recess, transitions)
• Foster an inclusive, respectful learning atmosphere
