Classroom Aide | Warrenton, North Carolina

This long-term contract position serves students from elementary through middle school and offers the potential for extension after December 2026. Collaborate within a welcoming educational setting, working closely with students who may have behavioral needs or are on the autism spectrum.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and at least 48 hours of college-level coursework
• Minimum of two years' experience as a paraprofessional in a school-based setting
• Proven ability to work with students exhibiting behavioral challenges and/or autism
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team
• Adaptability to meet evolving schedule and caseload assignments

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support for elementary and middle school students
• Implement instructional and behavioral strategies under the guidance of certified staff
• Offer encouragement, guidance, and redirection as needed throughout the school day
• Support students in mastering academic concepts and developing social-emotional skills
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining clear, confidential records
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom management as assigned

Position Details:

• Contract runs from ASAP start through December 2026, with the possibility of extension
• Monday–Friday schedule; hours may be partial days according to student needs
• Elementary and middle school caseloads available (multiple positions open)
