Classroom Assistant | Kingston, Pennsylvania

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact as a Personal Care Aide within a dynamic school community? We are seeking compassionate, reliable paraprofessionals to support students across multiple elementary, intermediate, and high school settings in the Scranton area. This rewarding contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, with an onsite schedule of 35 hours per week and 10 positions available.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or personal care aide in educational environments preferred
• Full Pennsylvania credentialing highly desirable; fully-credentialed candidates will be prioritized
• Ability to adapt and be assigned to any school within the district as placement needs arise
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to student safety, well-being, and inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized assistance and care to students, including those with special needs such as autism or emotional challenges
• Support classroom teachers with daily routines, instructional activities, and behavior management
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and positive environment for all students
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements:

• All necessary PA clearances (Act 151, 114, 126), two-step TB test or Quantiferon TB, recent physical, PATCH/Act 134 background check, Act 168 paperwork (if applicable)
• Pre-employment drug screening coordinated with onboarding
