Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting a bright, elementary-aged student as a full-time ASL Paraprofessional. This contract position offers the chance to provide one-on-one support in an inclusive educational environment close to Olivehurst, California, empowering student growth and success every day.
You’ll work 32 hours per week with a friendly, energetic male elementary student, fostering communication and engagement to help him reach his fullest potential. Your fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) will be key to facilitating learning, social interactions, and classroom participation—no EIPA required. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about accessible education who are ready to make a daily difference.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in an instructional support capacity, ideally in school settings.

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 ASL interpretation and classroom assistance for an elementary student.
- Support the student’s participation in classroom activities, lessons, and school routines.
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff through ASL.
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) where needed.
- Encourage independence and social interaction while maintaining a nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt materials and instructions for accessibility.
