Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
- Patience and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow directions and be flexible to meet classroom needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification preferred
- Background check and compliance with state/federal requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students individually or in small groups in the classroom
- Assist teachers with implementing instructional plans and classroom management
- Encourage and motivate students to participate and stay engaged
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Track student progress and offer feedback to teachers
- Support students with special needs, adapting materials or strategies when necessary
