Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school-based support role
  • Strong interest in working with elementary-age children within a behavior-focused program
  • Ability to model, reinforce, and support positive behavior strategies throughout the school day
  • Adaptability and patience when responding to diverse student needs
  • Comfortable providing both group and one-on-one support in the classroom and common areas
  • Licensing is flexible; a background in education or child development is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualized behavior support plans
  • Support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success by fostering engagement and independence
  • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and supervision of students throughout the day
  • Use effective communication skills to reinforce expectations and encourage social-emotional growth
  • Document observations and progress; participate in team meetings as needed
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for students’ strengths and unique needs
