Systems Engineer(Aderant or 3E)

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support and enhance core financial applications used by a legal organization in New York, New York. This position focuses on maintaining reliable performance across Aderant or 3E-related environments, resolving user and system issues, and delivering meaningful reporting for finance and operational teams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with legal financial platforms, and the ability to work effectively across multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver day-to-day technical and functional support for Aderant, 3E, and connected financial applications to keep business operations running smoothly.
• Investigate application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate escalation with senior team members or external vendors when deeper expertise is required.
• Guide users on system features, workflow navigation, and issue resolution while providing timely and thorough assistance.
• Maintain clear records of incidents, fixes, recurring problems, and support practices to improve knowledge sharing and service consistency.
• Monitor financial data quality across core systems, validate accuracy, and resolve data-related issues that affect downstream processes.
• Build and run ad hoc SQL-based queries and reporting outputs to support analysis, operational needs, and finance-driven decision-making.
• Review cost recovery uploads, identify processing errors, and implement corrections to ensure complete and accurate transaction handling.
• Produce standard and custom reports, dashboards, and Power BI deliverables for finance stakeholders and other business users.• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting Aderant Expert, 3E, or comparable practice management platforms used in services environments.
• Proven background working with legal or services financial systems; experience in a law firm setting is strongly valued.
• Hands-on reporting experience using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, or similar business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Ability to support system integrations and troubleshoot issues across interconnected financial applications.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with close attention to data accuracy and system reliability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Aderant Framework, Chrome River, Intapp Time, Legal360, or related legal technology platforms is preferred.
