Emergency Department RN - Full-Time | Flexible Shifts

We are seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced acute-care environment. The Emergency Department cares for patients ranging from minor injuries to acute and critical conditions.

Med-Surg RNs may also be considered for cross-training for the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients of all ages based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Provide timely nursing care to multiple patients while prioritizing changing conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Monitor patients and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and concise documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally during emergency situations.
• Support safe and efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ER RN experience in an acute-care setting preferred/required
• Med-Surg RN candidates may be considered for night-shift cross-training
• Active Virginia RN license or eligible compact RN license
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required
• BSN or current BSN enrollment preferred
• AHA BLS certification required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
