Key requirements:
- Must be designated as highly qualified before submission, meeting ONE of the following:
- Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
- Completed at least 60 college credits (college transcripts required—diplomas and certificates are not sufficient)
- Resume and the highly qualified documentation required for consideration
- Willingness to assist with all support tasks, including toileting, as needed
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and follow school-specific protocols
- Strong communication skills and a genuine dedication to supporting students and staff
Key responsibilities:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and personal assistance to elementary students
- Support teachers in delivering lesson plans and managing classroom activities
- Help ensure a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment for all students
- Work closely with classroom staff and other paraprofessionals to meet student needs
