Operating Room RN - Surgical Services | Days

We are seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RNs) to join a full-service surgical team. The RN will primarily function as a Circulating Nurse, with scrubbing skills considered a valuable addition. This is a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of surgical procedures and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide patient and family education regarding the surgical and perioperative process.
• Manage IV therapy, pre-operative medications, and surgical-site verification.
• Participate in surgical safety procedures including briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Monitor patients and recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the OR team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Support quality improvement and safe surgical workflow initiatives.

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent OR RN Scrub/Circulating experience
• Acute-care experience required
• Active Kansas RN license
• Nursing Diploma or equivalent nursing education
• BLS/BCLS required within 30 days of hire
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Must be willing to participate in required on-call coverage
