Special Education Para Professional in Orting, WA

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students build communication skills and succeed in their academic journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings preferred
• Enthusiasm for supporting student learning and communication
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team, including virtual service providers
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
• Experience facilitating speech or related services is an asset, but not required
• Flexible mindset and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist the virtual SLP in delivering speech and language services to students
• Provide support to students during speech sessions and reinforce targeted skills
• Maintain accurate session documentation and track progress in collaboration with the SLP
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as needed
• Support classroom teachers in implementing speech-related accommodations
• Uphold school policies and confidentiality standards
