Special Education Para Professional in New Berlin, WI

Step into a rewarding role supporting students and educators as a full-time paraprofessional in a high school environment. This contract position runs from late August through early June, offering an engaging schedule from 7:30am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday. You'll work directly with grades 9-12, empowering young learners through small group instruction and individualized support.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin Paraprofessional certification or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working in a school setting is preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide academic and behavioral support to high school students
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers by working with small groups of students to reinforce learning objectives
• Support the implementation of classroom and special education plans
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
• Foster student engagement through encouragement and effective classroom management strategies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators
• Support students with diverse learning needs, adapting strategies as necessary
