Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting students as a Bus Aide for the full school year. This role is based near Oneonta, NY, and is perfect for those passionate about working in an educational setting and making a daily difference in children’s lives. We are seeking 3-4 dedicated individuals ready to help ensure safe, smooth bus rides each day.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Bus Aide in a school environment is beneficial
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings and afternoons
• Able to manage and support students of varying ages and abilities on the school bus
• Strong communication skills with students, drivers, and staff
• Committed to maintaining a safe and positive environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the bus yard each morning, accompany the bus route for student pickups and school drop-offs, then return to the yard (approximately 3 hours)
• In the afternoon, repeat the process for student pick-ups from school and drop-offs at home, then return to the bus yard (approximately 3 hours)
• Assist students with embarking and disembarking safely
• Provide support to ensure students follow bus rules and protocols
• Foster a respectful and caring atmosphere on the bus
• Serve as a resource for drivers and school staff regarding student needs

This position offers a consistent 6-hour workday that allows you to have your mid-day hours free, providing flexibility in your schedule throughout the entire school year.
