Teacher's Aide - Girard, Pennsylvania

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role preferred
• Understanding of child development and strategies for guiding student behavior
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and maintain confidentiality
• Skilled in communication and building rapport with students and staff
• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional coursework or certifications)
• Reliable, flexible, and dedicated to the well-being and success of all learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, reinforcing lesson objectives and fostering engagement
• Help prepare instructional materials, set up learning activities, and organize classroom resources
• Monitor student behavior, encourage positive interactions, and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) where applicable
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during school events
• Maintain accurate and timely records as directed by supervising staff
