Special Education Para Professional in Jaffrey, NH

Ready to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives? This contract position supports students at both the middle and high school level, providing vital assistance in academic and personal care. Two dedicated and compassionate paraprofessionals are needed for full-time roles working closely with students who benefit from specialized attention.

As a paraprofessional, you’ll be instrumental in fostering students’ independence, ensuring a supportive environment, and collaborating with educators and support staff.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a school-based paraprofessional or personal care assistant preferred
• Comfort with toileting, personal care, and providing academic support
• Experience working with students who are Autistic or nonverbal is a plus
• Patient, adaptable, and dedicated to helping each student succeed
• High school diploma or GED required

What You’ll Do:

• Provide 1:1 support to an 8th grader who is Autistic and nonverbal during school hours (8:30 AM–3:30 PM, 32.5 hours/week)
• Assist a small group of high school students with IEPs integrated into the general education setting (8:40 AM–3:33 PM, 32.5 hours/week)
• Support students with toileting, personal care needs, and adaptive communication
• Implement individualized education plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff
• Promote student engagement, independence, and a positive school experience

This is a school-based role spanning the academic year, Monday to Friday from late August to mid-June.
