CVOR RN | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join a cardiovascular surgical team in a collaborative acute-care environment. This position provides an opportunity to support complex cardiovascular procedures while working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the perioperative process.
• Manage IV therapy, pre-operative medications, and surgical-site verification.
• Participate in surgical safety procedures including time-outs and debriefings.
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Support quality improvement and safe surgical workflow.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care Operating Room RN or CVOR RN experience
• Active Florida RN license or eligible compact RN license
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS/BCLS required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• PALS/ENPC or equivalent required within 6 months of hire
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Must be able to meet the 30-minute on-call response requirement
