Instructional Aide - Sunnyvale, CA

Make a difference supporting students for the 2026/2027 school year as a dedicated Paraprofessional! This full-time contract opportunity is based near Sunnyvale, CA, with hours from 8:10 am to 3:20 pm, Monday through Friday. Take on a dynamic and rewarding role by providing essential academic assistance in both self-contained classes and to higher-functioning students needing specialized instruction. Key Qualities and Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Familiarity supporting students with diverse learning needs, including self-contained and mainstream classrooms
• Ability and willingness to offer one-on-one or small group academic support
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when assisting students
• Must be reliable, proactive, and eager to help every learner succeed

Primary Duties:

• Support classroom teachers by providing direct assistance to students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning plans
• Work collaboratively with faculty to create an engaging, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and academic interventions
• Help deliver specialized academic instruction for higher-functioning students, as directed by instructional staff
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the instructional team
• Foster independent skills in students and encourage active participation in lessons
