Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school support role
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and student support strategies
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students
• Ability to implement instructional activities under the supervision of certified staff
• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable when addressing individual student needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in education a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers by providing instructional and behavioral support to students
• Help implement individual educational plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds
• Support students during lessons, encourage participation, and reinforce positive behaviors

• Document student progress and communicate observations to lead teachers and specialists
• Aid with activities of daily living and ensure student safety at all times
