Job Description

This contract position is located near Oakland, CA, and offers an opportunity to assist students and teachers alike in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or educational assistant preferred
- Ability to provide respectful, effective support to students with diverse backgrounds and needs
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and special education accommodations is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field preferred
- Dependable, adaptable, and compassionate approach to working in school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, lesson preparation, and supervision
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to help meet educational goals
- Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) under teacher direction
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Aid in managing classroom routines, transitions, and behavior
- Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, playground, or other settings as needed
