Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler for a commercial window and door manufacturing company in Washington, PA. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity for a dependable warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling professional with experience operating a forklift and safely moving large, oversized, and fragile products.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or building materials environment. Experience handling commercial windows, doors, glass, aluminum frames, building products, or other oversized materials is a plus.

This position is responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks, moving materials throughout the facility, staging products for production and shipping, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.

Forklift Operator / Material Handler Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stage materials and finished products

  • Handle commercial windows, doors, glass, aluminum frames, and other building materials

  • Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers while preventing product damage

  • Transport materials between warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving areas

  • Safely maneuver large, oversized, awkward, and fragile products

  • Stage materials and finished products for production, shipment, or delivery

  • Verify products and materials against work orders, packing lists, shipping documents, or production requirements

  • Inspect loads to ensure materials are properly positioned and secured before moving

  • Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed

  • Maintain accurate material placement and organized storage areas

  • Complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns

  • Follow all company safety policies, forklift procedures, and OSHA requirements

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and manufacturing environment

  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, shipping, receiving, and management teams

  • Perform general warehouse and material handling duties as assigned

Forklift Operator / Material Handler Qualifications
  • Previous forklift operator experience required

  • Forklift certification or willingness to complete required forklift training

  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or material handling experience preferred

  • Experience handling large, oversized, or fragile materials preferred

  • Commercial window, door, glass, aluminum, or building materials experience is a plus

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift in warehouse and manufacturing environments

  • Strong spatial awareness and attention to surroundings while operating equipment

  • Ability to safely maneuver and transport large or awkward loads

  • Ability to read and follow work orders, shipping documents, labels, and written instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and material handling

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and work around moving equipment

  • Ability to lift and move materials as required

  • Ability to handle large, heavy, awkward, and fragile products safely

  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
