Instructional Assistant - Green Bay, WI

Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students as a contract paraprofessional or Certified Nurse Assistant. This full-time opportunity starts September 1 and is based just outside of Green Bay in De Pere, WI. You will work 1:1 with a student who uses a motorized wheelchair, providing essential physical care and support with daily activities including toileting and mobility. Key qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Special Education Aide, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), or Public Health Aide is highly preferred
• Experience supporting students or individuals with physical care needs
• Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with toileting and mobility devices
• Willingness to obtain DPI certification upon offer (support available)
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students and staff
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable mindset

What you'll do:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a high school student with physical/mobility needs
• Assist with personal care, including toileting and wheelchair transfers
• Foster student independence while ensuring safety and dignity
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals to support the student’s educational and physical goals
• Maintain documentation as necessary for compliance and reporting
• Act as a positive advocate for student inclusion and participation within the school
