This exciting contract opportunity offers three positions for compassionate and motivated individuals, working with elementary-aged students to help them thrive academically and socially.
As a key team member, you will collaborate closely with teachers and specialists, providing hands-on assistance in both group and one-on-one settings. You’ll foster a supportive learning environment, helping students build communication, independence, and social skills. Your dedication and encouragement will leave a lasting impact on their educational journey.
Skills & Experience Desired:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom/educational support role
- Genuine interest in working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education settings
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Adaptability and reliability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in Communication and Social Development classrooms, providing individualized or small-group support
- Help implement instructional and behavioral strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Participate in classroom activities, supporting both academic learning and social integration
- Encourage positive behaviors and model appropriate communication skills
- Monitor student progress and help track goals in collaboration with the teaching team
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment
