Classroom Assistant | Nazareth, Pennsylvania

Step into a pivotal educational support role in Lehigh County, working within school-age and preschool early intervention settings supporting students with multiple and complex disabilities. Contract positions are available across multiple districts with immediate assignments beginning as soon as onboarding is complete and continuing through June 2027 (following the assigned school calendar). Hours may range from 29 to 35 per week, depending on the assignment. What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a special education setting
• Meets at least one of Pennsylvania’s paraprofessional qualification standards (48+ college credits, associate degree or higher, CDA certificate, or Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators in PA)
• Willingness to complete state-required para certification within 60 days if not already credentialed
• Able to manage behaviors (hitting, elopement, etc.) and perform personal care responsibilities—lifting, feeding, diapering, toileting—as needed
• Dependable transportation; ready for consistent, punctual, in-person attendance within a 30-35 minute commute of Lehigh County
• Flexibility regarding specific school or classroom placements as needs evolve

Key Responsibilities:

• Support instruction and individualized learning plans under teacher supervision
• Aid students with diverse needs, including behavior management and personal care
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Adapt quickly to changes in assignment or schedule based on district needs
• Communicate professionally with school staff, supervisors, and families
