Instructional Assistant - Charlestown, NH

You’ll work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide educational, emotional, and behavioral support to students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Roles are available in both middle school (2 positions) and high school (up to 2 positions), so candidates interested in working with different age groups are encouraged to apply.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within schools.
• Comfort assisting students with academic tasks, classroom activities, or adaptive needs.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Strong communication, patience, and a team-oriented approach.
• Reliability and commitment to the duration of the 2026-2027 academic year (September 2026 – June 2027).
• Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday, between 32-37.5 hours per week.

In this role, you will:

• Support classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks.
• Provide individualized or small group assistance as directed.
• Encourage student engagement and help manage classroom behavior.
• Assist with preparing learning materials and maintaining classroom organization.
• Adapt responsibilities as needed throughout the school year to meet evolving school and student needs.
