Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Projected Start: 08/31/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to preterm and term infants in a 6-bed NICU (5 open bays, 1 isolation room) at a patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including newborn resuscitation, intubation, umbilical line placement, surfactant administration, needle decompression, chest tube insertion, and NG/OG feedings
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including GE 650 monitors, syringe pumps, IV pumps, and bili-lights; administer TPN and lipids
• Stabilize and care for critically ill infants requiring ventilator support, CPAP, and UVC placement
• Document accurately using Meditech and Centricity Perinatal systems
• Support breastfeeding education and demonstrate strong patient and family communication consistent with AIDET standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertion in preterm and term infants
• Strong independent assessment skills with knowledge of signs of declining health in preterm infants

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with breastfeeding support and lactation education
• Familiarity with Meditech and/or Centricity Perinatal documentation systems
• Experience collaborating with neonatologists and respiratory therapy in a NICU setting
