Bilingual Office/Store Operations Supervisor

About Us:
Lindo Michoacán Supermarket is a fast-paced, family-owned grocery store and restaurant operation committed to excellent customer service and efficient daily operations. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Office & Retail Supervisor to oversee both administrative and store functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily office operations including payroll, payables, and scheduling
• Oversee retail store operations and ensure smooth day-to-day performance
• Supervise and support staff across departments
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained
• Monitor pricing and inventory processes
• Coordinate with vendors and handle account communications
• Maintain accurate records and reporting
• Ensure compliance with City of Chicago food retail regulations
• Complete and manage all required forms, permits, and documentation to remain in compliance
• Assist with audits, inspections, and government-related requests 

Requirements:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required; must consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and maintain dependable availability.
• Minimum 2+ years of management experience (retail or grocery preferred)
• Strong knowledge of City of Chicago food retail processes, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Experience completing and managing required regulatory forms and documentation
• Experience with payroll, payables, and staff scheduling
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass the ServSafe Manager Certification course 

Schedule:

• Weekend and holiday availability required

Benefits: Dental, Health, Vision

Pay: $25 to $28 per hour

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 21+ years or older
• Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Management skills: supervising employees
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Comfortable handling customer complaints
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Available to work: weekends
• Available to work: weekdays
• Available to work: holidays
• Available to work: overtime

Preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the retail industry
• Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
