Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by the employer.
• Proven experience operating yard trucks, tractors, or switcher locomotives in a transportation or warehousing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures related to yard operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and yard management systems.
• Familiarity with railcar switching operations and railroad safety standards.
• Additional certifications related to equipment operation or safety training.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with yard equipment.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate yard trucks, tractors, or switcher locomotives to move trailers, containers, or railcars within the yard.
• Position equipment for loading and unloading activities in coordination with warehouse and logistics teams.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and maintenance issues before and after operation.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and other yard personnel to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.

• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures while performing duties.
