We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team and provide high-quality, resident-centered rehabilitation services in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day treatment, including training in bed mobility, transfers, gait, stairs, ambulation on various surfaces, therapeutic exercise programs for ROM, strengthening, stretching, re-education, balance, and coordination.

  • Communicate with other disciplines as needed to enhance interdisciplinary teamwork and improve patient care.

  • Participate in home visits, family conferences, and community awareness or marketing activities when appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in residents' medical records.

  • Provide treatment according to the established plan of treatment.

  • Supervise rehabilitation and restorative aides regarding patient treatments, ROM, ambulation, and positioning.

  • Complete all required documentation and treatment changes in a timely manner according to facility policies.

  • Meet department standards for completion of discharge documentation, including FIMS, home treatment programs, and equipment recommendations following discharge.

  • Record and submit required treatment charges according to facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Current Massachusetts State License as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

  • Graduate of an APTA-approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

  • Must comply with state, federal, and APTA standards of practice when planning and carrying out treatment programs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and cooperative therapy team.
