Special Education Teacher (Grades 6–12)

Framingham, MA | $45–$50/hour

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Massachusetts academic standards
• Adapt lessons to students' individual learning abilities and IEP requirements
• Provide individualized interventions, accommodations, and modifications
• Create a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and document academic development
• Assist with IEP implementation and educational planning
• Use different teaching methods and technology to keep students engaged
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other members of the school team
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Appropriate Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure
• Moderate Disabilities 5–12 licensure preferred
• At least 6 months of classroom experience preferred, including experience as a teacher, co-teacher, paraprofessional, or instructional aide
• Experience or understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment
• Flexibility and creativity when working with different student needs
