The Margaret E. Moul Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team on 2nd shift. We specialize in caring for individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions and are committed to providing personalized, high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Safely assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility, including the use of mechanical lifts and adaptive equipment.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in their condition, including neurological and muscular status, to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
• Document resident care activities accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure comprehensive, individualized resident care.
• Follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times.
• Support residents in maintaining their dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements:

  

Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required
• Experience with mechanical lifts preferred, or willingness to learn how to safely operate them
• Prior experience working with individuals with neuromuscular conditions preferred
• Knowledge of neuromuscular disorders and related care techniques preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and attentive to detail
• Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining resident safety
• Dependable and committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care

Work Environment

This is an in-person, hands-on position at the Margaret E. Moul Home. CNAs work directly with residents and alongside the nursing and healthcare team in a long-term care setting. This position requires regular on-site attendance and active, hands-on support with residents throughout the shift.
