Start date: 09/14/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: 2,438 - 2,611 per week | Guaranteed hours: 36 | Shift: Open to 8- or 10-hour shifts; start times typically between 7:00 and 9:00; on-call required
This travel assignment is in a hospital setting within the Interventional Radiology department. The role requires active IR experience and an X-ray license, with a focus on interventional procedures in a fast-paced imaging suite.

- Travel assignment in an Interventional Radiology department
- On-call requirement: up to 10 days per month when fully staffed; currently 2 days per week
- Ongoing need for qualified IR technologists with cath lab experience
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging for interventional radiology procedures in the IR suite, including fluoroscopy and radiography
- Operate imaging equipment with attention to radiation safety and patient protection
- Assist IR physicians during procedures; position patients; maintain sterile technique
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care as needed; monitor patients and respond to changes in status
- Acquire, process, and document images; ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with the IR team and, when IR procedures are not being performed, assist with general radiography as needed
- Maintain equipment readiness, troubleshoot as appropriate, and participate in on-call coverage
Requirements
- Active Illinois license from IEMA
- ARRT board certification in Radiography (X-ray Technologist)
- Experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab required; training available for candidates with cath lab experience
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital IR setting and participate in an on-call schedule
- CPR/BLS certified (and eligibility to maintain current credentials as required)
- Education aligned to ARRT certification and Illinois licensure
