Bilingual Safety Specialist (Washington, DC)

HotelPro, a hospitality staffing company, is looking for a highly motivated Safety Specialist to join our Operations team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members while maintaining compliance with workplace safety regulations. The Safety Specialist conducts safety visits, delivers training, promotes safe work practices, and serves as a key advocate for building a culture of safety across the market.

As a Safety Specialist You Will...

• Perform weekly safety shoe audits, cart audits, safety visits, risk assessments, training sessions, and safety meeting management.
• Deploy and support understanding of HotelPro's safety strategy and safety program.
• Ensure all new hires understand HotelPro safety policies and procedures.
• Meet monthly safety visit goals and first-week safety visit requirements for new hires.
• Conduct one safety meeting per client each month.
• Uphold HotelPro safety, integrity, and compliance standards.
• Partner with operations teams to address safety concerns and improve safety performance.
• Analyze and communicate safety trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Respond immediately to workplace injuries and administer workers’ compensation procedures.
• Complete First Injury Reports, risk assessments, clinic accompaniment, and claim follow-ups.
• Conduct team member and supervisor safety training.
• Educate team members on proper cleaning procedures and workplace safety expectations.
• Engage with hotel leaders and communicate safety concerns and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
• Recognize, educate, coach, and hold team members accountable for safety compliance.

As a Safety Specialist You Bring...

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or strong safety management background.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation reporting and compliance regulations preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.
• Strong passion for workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
