Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Oasis at the Keys Nursing and Rehab in Key Largo, Florida. As a key member of our facility's maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our assisted living facilities. Responsibilities:
• Maintain lawn care equipment and ensure all exterior and interior door locks are functioning properly
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to windows, screens, and exterior surfaces
• Replace burned-out light bulbs, clean and change air filters, and service heating and cooling units
• Conduct fire drills, building evacuations, and complete life safety code assignments
• Maintain plant operations and life safety records, and complete safety audits
• Perform equipment repair, carpentry duties, and operate saws and hand tools
• Ensure fire extinguishers are current and in proper working order, and perform commercial washer and dryer preventative maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with commercial maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, electrical systems, alarm systems, appliances, commercial stoves, refrigerators, air-conditioning, and heating units
• General construction experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must display professionalism in appearance and attitude
• Must possess the ability to solve problems, make independent decisions, and genuinely care for and understand the elderly and other persons with various disabilities
