Summary:

In this full-time role, you will work closely with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. You will assist with patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations, and provide education and support to patients and their families. Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists with patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans

  • Implement interventions and strategies to promote patient independence and participation

  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on daily living skills, adaptive equipment, and home modifications

  • Assist with documentation and communication with healthcare teams

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • 0 years of experience as a COTA Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of COTA program or equivalent education and training

  • Current certification as a COTA (OTR/L) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
