The Opportunity:
The Electrical Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The role requires troubleshooting electrical problems, ensuring all electrical systems and components operate efficiently and safely, and performing regular maintenance and repairs. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production down time, as well as perform other routine maintenance tasks as required to support production.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Recommend system upgrades or replacements based on equipment performance analysis, contributing to the long-term reliability and efficiency of the facility.
- Identify and diagnose electrical faults or malfunctions in systems, components, and wiring.
- Conduct repairs on electrical components, machinery, and equipment as needed.
- Support project team in identifying areas for equipment optimization, leading continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Perform routine inspections and prevent maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and ensure reliability.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and electrical codes when performing tasks to prevent hazards and accidents.
- Use electrical testing equipment to monitor systems and verify power functionality, making adjustments or repairs when necessary.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical schematics to plan an execute installations or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs made, and any parts replaced for reference and compliance purposes.
- Properly maintain and operate electrical tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
- Stay up to date with the latest electrical technologies, methods, and industry standards to improve performance and efficiency.
- Participate in IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification) processes for new equipment and systems.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to perform equipment validation in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all systems meet operational and safety standards.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
