Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for their behavioral health team. Located in Grays Harbor County, Washington, close to Aberdeen. Here you will enjoy the great outdoors including hiking, climbers, backpacking trails, and all other outdoor enthusiasts' dreams! This PMHNP will need to be licensed in Washington State with one year of recent PMHNP experience. 

Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that include evaluation of mental status, current psychiatric symptoms, and functioning, as well as psychiatric and other relevant health histories.
• Administer treatment plans in accordance with standardized procedures.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and short-term therapies to treat mental health conditions in accordance with standardized procedures.
• Provide brief psychotherapeutic interventions in conjunction with evaluation and management services in accordance with standardized procedures.
• Assess patients presenting in crisis, evaluate risk and develop a treatment plan.

Requirements of the PMHNP:

• Certified PMHNP
• Current or willing to obtain Washington (WA) NP license
• One year of clinical PMHNP experience
• One year of recent medication management and counseling experience
