Grandparents & Special Grown-Ups: Come Share With Us!

Do you have something you enjoy that you’d love to share with little ones? We’d love to welcome grandparents and other special grown-ups in our children’s lives to spend some time in our classrooms and share something that brings them joy!

Read a favorite story, share a hobby, play an instrument, teach us something about your culture, do a simple craft, show us a special skill, or simply come spend time with us. There are so many ways to connect, and the possibilities are endless!

Whether you’re a grandparent, family member, or another special grown-up, we’d love to have you join us for a little fun, connection, and community with our Wildflowers.

What You'll Do

Share something you love — read a favorite book, share a hobby, play music, create something, teach us about your culture or traditions, show us a special skill, or bring another interest to the classroom.

Join in with the children — you can lead a simple activity, participate alongside them, answer their questions, or simply spend time together.

Bring a little bit of your world into ours — give children an opportunity to discover something new through the people who are special in their lives.

Have fun and connect! — no teaching experience or elaborate activity is needed. The most important part is spending time together and being part of our Wildflowers community.

Requirements

A Few Simple Requirements

• Come ready to have fun and connect with our children.
• Keep it simple and age-appropriate — no teaching or volunteer experience is needed.
• Plan to stay with a Wildflowers teacher while participating in the classroom.
• Check with us ahead of time before bringing food, materials, or other items into the classroom, as some classrooms have allergies or other considerations.
• Follow our classroom and safety practices while visiting.
• Most importantly, bring yourself and something you enjoy sharing!
