Job Description
Rehab Aide
Seeking a Rehab Aide to provide hands-on assistance to patients recovering from injuries or illnesses. This role offers the unique experience of working in a Critical Access Hospital, where you will support both patients and therapists in the rehabilitation process.
What You'll Do
Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, etc.) and help them practice physical skills and exercises as directed by a therapist.
Clinic Support: Prepare patients for treatments, set up and clean treatment rooms, and maintain equipment and supplies.
Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and greeting visitors at the reception desk.
What We're Looking For
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required. You must also obtain your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and BLS/CPR certifications within three months of employment.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, as are basic data entry and computer skills.
Physical Requirements: This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking. You must be able to lift, position, push, and transfer patients, as well as perform frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
Additional Information
Schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
