Tutor - Special Education (Orton-Gillingham)

TLC-The Treatment and Learning Center is seeking early education/elementary reading and math tutors to work 4 - 6 hours per week. The tutors will work with school aged students. Experience and/or education with learning differences is required. Orton-Gillingham training or experience is a must (certification not required). This is a great opportunity for a retired teacher or for anyone looking to earn extra income. Very friendly and supportive staff, great work atmosphere. This is an in-person position.

Specific areas of need include:

• Elementary - ages 5 -8, mostly reading and some math
• Special Education
• Early Education Reading Interventions, such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or Phono-Graphix

Salary range $38/hour to $42/hour

Requirements for the Tutor:

• Must have a B.A. degree and teaching or tutoring experience in one or more of these areas
• Experience with Maryland education standards required
• Experience with learning differences
• Organizational/executive function tutoring/coaching is a plus
• Reading tutors must be trained in Wilson and/or Orton Gillingham and/or Phono-Graphix
