We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).

Position Summary

The PTA provides skilled physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders, the established therapy plan of care, PT direction, agency policies, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising PT
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility training
  • Support strengthening, fall prevention, and safe functional movement
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the PT
  • Reinforce patient and caregiver education as directed by the PT
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Communicate with the PT and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs
  • Participate in care coordination, meetings, in-services, and required training
  • Follow Medicare requirements, state regulations, and agency policies

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Florida PTA license/certification in good standing
  • Previous clinical experience preferred; home health experience a plus
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to meet all required background and compliance requirements
