Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate trucks weighing over 26,000 lbs., including tankers, roll-offs, and vans.
  • Transport and deliver waste materials and general freight.
  • Complete pre-trip and required vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate DOT hours-of-service logs and load documentation.
  • Secure cargo properly for transportation.
  • Read and interpret bills of lading, manifests, and other shipping documents.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Obtain required delivery receipts and signatures.
  • Report accidents, vehicle defects, traffic violations, or damage according to company policy.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the truck, equipment, and PPE.
Bonuses
  • $1,500 Signing Bonus:
    • $100 after 30 days
    • $700 after 9 months
    • $700 after 1 year
  • Paid hourly, with drivers averaging 50–55 hours per week
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours
  • $50 additional compensation for each overnight run
  • $20/hour additional pay while performing vacuum tanker work (typically 1–4 hours per job)
  • Quarterly incentive bonus of $200–$400 based on:
    • Idle time
    • Fuel efficiency
    • Safe driving performance
  • Annual pay increases based on positive performance reviews
  • Win Together Profit Sharing Program, paid annually in February and based on company operating profit
Schedule & Travel
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Typically 2–3 overnight runs per week
  • Shorter trips generally involve leaving and returning to Grafton the same day
  • Longer trips may require 2–3 days away from the Grafton facility
  • Drivers leave Grafton with an empty trailer, load at the customer location, and return to Grafton with the loaded trailer
  • No routine hotel stays; drivers are provided with sleeper-cab tractors for overnight travel
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of current over-the-road tanker experience, including liquid tanker experience.
  • Valid Class A CDL - Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement PREFERRED
  • Compliant Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) driving history.
  • Ability to qualify for a DOT physical card and comply with DOT substance-abuse testing requirements.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work 14-hour shifts, including additional hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • Ability to safely use required PPE, including respiratory and chemical protective equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures, operating instructions, and related documentation.
