About the Role
As a GNA at Montcare Wheaton, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting a positive and supportive environment for our patients and their families. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
Assist with transferring patients to and from wheelchairs, beds, and other mobility devices
Maintain patient records and documentation
Participate in team conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Requirements
Must be a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (CGNA) with a current certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely and efficiently
