Pay: $26-$43/hour, depending on experience and technician level (Must have waste water experience to qualify for high end of pay range)

Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

About the Role

We're looking for Process Instrumentation Technicians to support instrumentation and controls within water and wastewater treatment operations. This position focuses on maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting process instrumentation while supporting PLC and SCADA systems used throughout plant operations.


Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation and controls
  • Support chlorine, turbidity, pH, sludge, and other process analyzers
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA equipment and related control systems
  • Perform scheduled instrument calibrations and maintain required documentation
  • Diagnose instrumentation and controls issues affecting plant processes
  • Maintain accurate PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation equipment records
  • Support programming changes, system upgrades, and technical projects
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors on controls and instrumentation work
  • Assist with technical training and knowledge sharing across the maintenance team
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional overtime


Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting process instrumentation
  • Experience with industrial controls, instrumentation, or automated process equipment
  • Ability to obtain required water, wastewater, maintenance, and/or controls certifications within established timelines
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and technical problem-solving skills


Experience Levels

  • Technician I: 2+ years of process instrumentation experience, including analyzers, probes, calibration, and related equipment
  • Technician II: 2+ years of instrumentation and/or PLC/SCADA maintenance experience
  • Technician III: 4+ years of process instrumentation experience plus 4+ years working with PLC and/or SCADA systems | Waste water experience required


Preferred Technical Experience

  • Rockwell ControlLogix and SLC 500
  • AVEVA/InTouch HMI
  • FactoryTalk View
  • Ethernet/IP industrial networking
  • PLC and SCADA programming and troubleshooting
  • Water or wastewater treatment instrumentation
  • Process analyzer calibration and maintenance


Additional Details

This position participates in an on-call rotation and may occasionally require overtime. Required technical and water/wastewater certifications must be obtained within the applicable timeframe after hire.
